Karissa Haugen Owner/APRN-PMHNP
Karissa is a Board-Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Graduated with my master’s degree from Walden University and my undergraduate from College of St. Scholastica and Fond Du lac Community College. Karissa started her nursing career in Mental Health as my passion. She has worked in-patient psych at Miller Dwan, outpatient psych at Liberalis (Care Carlton), HDC-ACT nurse, St.Lukes ECT, and most recent position WebMed Mental Health Services as PMHNP/Medical Director. She has a passion to continuing to provide Mental Health services to the area. Karissa's goal is to provide accessible and affordable care to those in Minnesota. When I am not in the clinic, I am enjoying my time outdoors, camping, and traveling with my family.
Anne Hendricks APRN-PMHNP
Anne Hendricks is a highly skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is now accepting new patients! With a Master’s Degree from the University of North Dakota, Anne brings invaluable experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health care. Anne is a compassionate, empathetic professional dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. Anne is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where YOU feel heard and empowered in your journey toward mental well-being.
Rachel Frost APRN-PMHNP (Starting Early Dec 2025)
Rachel is a Duluth, Minnesota native and a compassionate, patient-centered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. New to Firefly Mental Health, she brings a wealth of experience in mental health care and a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families through every stage of their mental health journey.
Rachel provides psychiatric assessment/diagnosis/treatment, medication management, and brief, evidence-based interventional therapy for patients ages 7 and older. She is skilled in diagnosing, assessing, and treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, psychosis, and other mood and behavioral disorders.
Rachel is also trained in the treatment of eating disorders. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and holistic care—empowering patients to better understand their mental health and build lasting tools for wellness.
Known for her compassionate presence and dedication to high-quality, individualized care, Rachel strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel supported and respected throughout their treatment journey.

Emily is the friendly administrative assistant at Firefly Mental Health. With extensive experience in the mental health field, she is here to ensure your visit runs smoothly by handling everything from scheduling appointments to managing paperwork. She always creates a warm and welcoming environment, with a smile on her face, and at times will crack a joke along the way! If you need assistance, she always here to help. Looking forward to connecting with you and making your experience as positive as possible!
